Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years as a Highway Foreman 2 or five years of technical highway maintenance/construction experience.
• PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent (Special Requirement).
• PA residency requirement and ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Operational planning: prepare plans and estimates for paving, treatment, widening, patching, bridge upkeep, guide rail, signing, and snow removal.
• Resource allocation: recommend best use of equipment, manpower, and materials.
• Field oversight: check work in progress and completed work for policy, quality, and plan compliance.
• Stakeholder relations: meet with employees, unions, officials, and property owners to explain operations and resolve concerns.
• Process improvement: support development of improved work methods, materials, and complaint handling.
• Safety leadership: promote safe practices and awareness of work area conditions to prevent incidents.
