Job summary

Weyerhaeuser’s Vail Timberlands operation in Rainier, WA is seeking a Roads Maintenance Operator level 1 for full-time, day shift. The role involves operating multiple heavy machines, performing road maintenance, and following strict safety and environmental standards.

We offer IAM-represented hourly positions with a starting pay of $32.76 per hour, with potential to move to $34.76 after demonstrating required competencies per the contract.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is desirable.
• Commitment to safe work practices in team environments.
• Willingness to shift to different tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment (grader, excavator, front end loader, backhoe, dump truck, and other assigned machinery).
• Perform road maintenance tasks including culvert installation, ditching, patching, grading and minor road abandonment.
• Conduct and assist with equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain clear communication with team and coordinate with other personnel.
• Follow environmental and safety standards at all times.
