Job summary

The County in Inchelium is seeking a Maintenance Worker to operate a range of heavy and light construction equipment, haul materials, and support road construction and maintenance tasks. This full-time, non-exempt role requires a valid WA Class A CDL with N endorsement, flagging/traffic control card, and first aid certification.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety hazards and procedures for road work.
• Ability to operate and maintain heavy and light construction equipment.
• Ability to perform basic computer operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment and trucks for road construction and maintenance.
• Lay and align culvert pipe to grade and perform excavations with hand tools.
• Perform mechanical work, welding, and other labor when not operating equipment.
• Conduct flagging and assist with other duties as assigned.
• Maintain logs and respond to public inquiries courteously.
