Job summary

Stantec is seeking Transportation Construction Inspector (TCI) roles to contribute on projects across Pennsylvania, overseeing roadways, structures, interchanges, and toll plazas from design to construction.

We welcome candidates with a minimum of one year of construction inspection experience on major roadway projects and PennDOT/Pennsylvania Turnpike familiarity, plus relevant NICET or NECEPT certifications. This is a full-time site-based opportunity in PA.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year construction inspection experience on major roadway and/or bridge projects.
• PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike experience.
• Current NICET Level 2 or higher, NECEPT Asphalt, or PennDOT NECEPT Concrete certification.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to prepare for the inspection.
• Conduct field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation.
• Inspect work site for proper traffic control setup.
• Inspect erosion control devices and ensure compliance with permits.
• Monitor and record materials certifications according to the client’s procedures.

Education

High School diploma or relevant experience

Current NICET Level 2 or higher

PennDOT NECEPT Concrete certification

PennDOT NECEPT Asphalt certification

PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike experience
