Job summary

Alliance Material Handling is hiring a field-based forklift mechanic/field service technician in Jessup, MD. Start from home and travel to customer sites, with a company-provided truck and competitive pay. This role requires commuting within the territory and cannot be remote.

Work independently, diagnose and repair forklifts, batteries, and chargers, and perform preventive maintenance while communicating repairs to customers. Overtime opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Experience as forklift mechanic, diesel mechanic, or equipment technician.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Your own tools.
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts (electric, gas, LP).
• Service industrial batteries and chargers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Travel to customer sites throughout the day.
• Communicate directly with customers on repairs and recommendations.
• All other responsibilities/duties as assigned.

Full Time Technical Jessup Branch, Jessup, MD, US

PLEASE NOTE: This is a field-based position. Applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Jessup, Maryland, as they will travel directly to customer locations throughout the territory. This is not a remote position.

Compensation: Starting at $24/hr, based on experience
