Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Traveling Field Service Technician II for a predominantly field-based role with 75-80% travel. The position involves on-site installation and maintenance of Canon inkjet equipment, with typical projects lasting 5-8 days and occasional two-week stays.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years in technical or field service work, basic networking knowledge, and a valid driver's license. Overtime and weekend work are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent + 1-2 years technical/field service experience.
• Basic understanding of internet/network environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to travel 75-80%, including overnight stays up to 2 weeks.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay active throughout the day.
• Comfort with shift work, overtime and weekend installs.

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively within the US to install Canon Ink Jet products.
• Provide on-site service and direct customer interaction.
• Complete Field Service and Expense Reports and manage Canon property.
• Diagnose mechanical, software, network, and system issues per procedures.
• Assist with escalated issues and guide junior technicians.
