Job summary

Canon USA is seeking a Traveling Field Service Technician to join our team. This predominantly field-based role requires 75–80% travel, with most installs lasting 5–8 days and including a weekend.

You will work independently on-site to support Canon-supported products and facilities. You will diagnose mechanical, software, network, and system issues, complete field service and expense reports, and mentor less experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1–2 years in technical or field service preferred.
• Basic understanding of internet/network environments and willingness to travel frequently.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work on shift schedules including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair Canon equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, software, network, and system issues using established procedures.
• Deliver high-quality on-site service and build customer relationships.
• Complete Field Service Reports and Expense Reports accurately.
• Travel extensively within the US (75–80%) and work independently on-site.
• Assist with escalated technical or customer service issues and guide less experienced technicians.
• Maintain Canon property and participate in ongoing training.
