Job summary

Washoe County in Gerlach, NV is seeking a Medium Equipment Operator to perform journey level work operating medium equipment for road maintenance and construction. Under general supervision, you will support daily operations and ensure safety and quality service on county roads and facilities.

The ideal candidate has two years of full-time road maintenance or one year of medium equipment operation, plus a valid Nevada Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time work experience in road maintenance or road construction, or one year operating medium equipment, or an equivalent combination.
• Valid Nevada Class A CDL with tanker endorsement required at time of application and maintained for continued employment.
• Demonstrates safety, quality service, and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium equipment for road maintenance and construction tasks.
• Assist in daily operations and inspections of equipment and facilities.
• Maintain records and communicate effectively with team and supervisors.
