Job summary

Peaks Renewables, a subsidiary of Summit Utilities, seeks a Commercial Operations Associate I to drive financial and operational analytics for its RNG portfolio. The role bridges operations, FP&A, M&A, and commercial activities, building dashboards, models, and leadership materials to enable scalable growth.

The position is hybrid and may be based in Maine or Arkansas, with a remote option for candidates located in Texas. You will work closely with the Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related field (MBA or CFA a plus).
• At least four (4) years’ experience in management consulting, investment banking, commercial operations, energy marketing or trading, corporate or project finance, infrastructure, or private equity investing.
• Experience in RNG, renewable fuels, environmental commodities, natural gas, or power markets preferred.
• Demonstrated experience building and owning financial models and analytical deliverables and presenting to leadership and functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial and operating models for portfolio projects and KPI dashboards.
• Run the monthly operating and financial review cadence and prepare presentations.
• Oversee analysts managing environmental credit monetization and revenue compliance.
• Support strategy development for market and competitive analyses and business cases.
• Support bolt-on projects and CO2 and other co-products opportunities.
• Develop offtake strategy and cross-functional collaboration.
• Assist M&A with commercial diligence and integration of assets.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives including ERP implementation.
• Mentor junior team members and review analyst work.
