Job summary

Abrazo West Campus Hospital, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a experienced nurse leader to supervise a department, manage staffing, and coordinate patient care resources. You will provide leadership in the absence of directors and act as liaison among physicians, staff and administration.

The role requires RN licensure in Arizona, a nursing degree, and at least three years of clinical nursing experience, with strong communication and change-management skills to improve patient outcomes and

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Nursing School.
• Three years of relevant clinical nursing experience.
• Must have License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
• CPR required and ACLS required or must obtain within six months of hire.
• BSN preferred; management experience and supervisory experience are desirable.
• PALS certification/registration also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and implements organizational goals. Identifies and prioritizes what needs to be done in terms of patient care and unit tasks.
• Estimates patient workloads and ensures staffing reflects workloads.
• Interprets and ensures compliance with policies & procedures, standards of practice and standards of care necessary and relevant to the department.
• Assists with discharge planning and utilization management while coordinating admissions and transfers.
• Provides leadership, coaching and mentorship; acts as liaison between physicians, staff, patients and administration.
