Job summary

Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Woburn, MA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to lead our nursing team and oversee daily clinical operations in a skilled nursing setting.

The ideal candidate holds a MA RN license, has leadership experience, and excels in coordinating resident care with physicians and interdisciplinary staff. Respiratory or pulmonary care experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, active MA RN license.
• Experience in nursing leadership or unit management preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care/rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Respiratory or pulmonary care experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical standards.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead a team, manage competing priorities, and address sensitive situations professionally.
• Commitment to resident safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations of the unit to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Supervise, support, and mentor nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and nursing assistants.
• Coordinate resident care plans and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor residents' conditions and ensure proper assessment, documentation, communication, and follow-up.
• Promote compliance with Massachusetts regulations and facility policies.
• Support infection prevention, medication safety, clinical documentation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Communicate care needs with residents, families, and staff.
• Address clinical issues and resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain staffing, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
