Job summary

Aperion Care is seeking a Nurse Supervisor/Unit Manager (RN) to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations. The role includes planning daily activities, medication administration, documentation, and maintaining patient confidentiality.

The RN will coordinate with physicians, ensure safety protocols, and communicate with residents, families, and staff. Part-time positions are also available without benefits.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing with the state.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines for long-term care facilities.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Willingness to pursue required state trainings.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Flexible and adaptable with multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Nursing Department and ensure licensed duties are performed.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants.
• Know residents and follow care plans and physician orders.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Coordinate with physicians and other departments to maintain nursing services.
• Maintain warm, calm unit environment and relay shift reports to staff.
• Communicate changes in resident needs to clinical leadership.
• Assist with activities of daily living and resident engagement.
