Job summary

Aperion Care in Princeton, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants on the unit. You will ensure care meets federal, state and local standards and collaborate with the Director of Nursing.

The role requires strong clinical knowledge, ability to lead shifts, document care, administer medications, and maintain a warm, safe environment for residents. Sign-on bonus of $10,000 offered for full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered license.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to make independent decisions as needed.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations and guidelines for facilities.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents; provide shift leadership.
• Complete and file charting; transcribe physician orders and maintain records.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician.
• Develop rapport with departments and maintain a warm, calm environment.
• Receive/give nursing reports and perform rounds with physicians as needed.
• Provide professional services (catheterization, tube feedings, wound care, IV care, etc.).
• Monitor safety of staff and equipment; maintain resident confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
