Job summary

John Knox Village of Central Florida is seeking an RN Unit Manager to supervise a designated nursing unit, oversee resident care, admissions/discharges, and coordinate care delivery across the interdisciplinary team. The Unit Manager is accountable for 24-hour resident care and nursing staff, ensuring safety and adherence to standards.

You will conduct rounds, evaluate resident conditions, assign staffing, ensure accurate documentation, and communicate changes to families with social services.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN in good standing in Florida.
• Nursing home experience required.
• Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees direct care and staffing on the unit.
• Plans and delegates nursing assignments.
• Ensures physician orders are current and properly documented.
• Coordinates with Social Service to inform families of changes in resident condition.
• Participates in development and delivery of resident care plans and admissions.
• Uses quality indicators to develop action plans to improve care.
• Conducts unit meetings and communicates policy changes.
