Qualifications

• Current Florida nursing license and CPR certification.
• CEUs must be up to date for license renewal.
• Experience supervising licensed nurses and aides is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall implementation, delivery and coordination of resident care and services by nursing staff; plan, assign and direct clinical responsibilities.
• Observe and evaluate residents for care needs and promptly report changes to the Administrator.
• Review resident care and implement changes when needed.
• Ensure interventions align with physician orders and service plans to meet residents' needs.
• Provide oversight of medication management procedures and ensure EMR/MAR documentation is accurate.
• Ensure resident documentation complies with state and federal regulations.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Direct and supervise licensed nurses, personal care aides, CNAs and medication technicians.
• Review incidents and follow up promptly.
• Notify physician, family and Administrator when a resident is ill or injured.
• Participate in case conferences, training sessions and staff meetings.
• Address resident complaints and requests with proper documentation and reporting.
