Job summary

The Laurels of Bedford is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead and teach nursing staff in our skilled nursing facility in Michigan. You will supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, review procedures, assess care systems, and contribute to care plans using a systematic nursing process.

Current RN licensure and CPR required; management experience in long-term care preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401k with matching funds, paid time off and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure required.
• CPR certification required; additional nursing certifications preferred.
• Management or supervisory experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by RNs, LPNs and CNAs.
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate quality guest care and performance of staff.
• Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
• Contributes to guest assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and the development and implementation of a plan of care.
• Evaluates guests’ responses to nursing interventions.
• Understands the rationale for the use of medications and treatments and correctly administers as needed.
