Job summary

The Laurels of Carson City is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead nursing care and health education for residents in a skilled nursing setting. You will supervise a diverse care team and ensure compliance with procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes teaching, coordinating care, and contributing to care plans, with a focus on dignified, compassionate guest service. Leadership in a dynamic environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Current state RN licensure required.
• Current CPR certification and additional nursing certification desired.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by RNs, LPNs, CNAs and others.
• Reviews and implements nursing procedures and systems to ensure quality care.
• Assesses systems that affect guest care delivery and staff performance.
• Contributes to guest assessments (MDS/CAA) and plan of care creation and execution.
• Evaluates guests’ responses to nursing interventions and adjust care accordingly.
