Genesis in Alabama is hiring a Unit Manager/Director - RN to support the Director of Nursing in delivering high-quality care and achieving positive clinical outcomes. You will lead nursing operations for an assigned unit, ensuring care delivery aligns with our mission and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities include directing care, collaborating with clinicians, and managing staff, overtime, and performance.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
- Ensure patient/resident care delivery aligns with mission, values, policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy and other professionals for optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage unit human resources, limit overtime and agency use, recruit and orient staff, evaluate performance, and enforce disciplinary actions when needed.
