Job summary

Genesis in High Point, NC is seeking a Unit Manager/Director – RN to support the Director of Nursing with delivering high-quality care and achieving positive clinical outcomes across an assigned unit.

Lead nursing operations, ensure care delivery aligns with policy and regulations, collaborate with physicians and rehab therapy, and manage staff recruitment, orientation, performance, and discipline as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in the state.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
• Ensure that patient/resident care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and company policies in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients on assigned nursing unit.
• Manage the human resources in assigned unit to include limiting use of overtime and agency personnel, recruiting and orientating staff, assessing the work performance of nursing staff, and implementing disciplinary action when necessary.
