Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Unit Manager/Director - RN to support the Director of Nursing on a designated unit, delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for patients and residents.

You will lead nursing staff, ensure care delivery complies with mission, policies, and regulations, collaborate with physicians and rehab therapists, and manage staffing and performance while minimizing overtime and reliance on agency staff.

Qualifications

Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
Ensure care delivery is consistent with Genesis HealthCare's mission, policies and applicable regulations.
Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehab therapy and other professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Manage unit human resources, control overtime and agency use, recruit and orient staff, evaluate performance, and apply disciplinary action when necessary.
