Lionstone Healthcare is seeking a Unit Manager - RN to oversee nursing staff and deliver direct resident care. You will supervise STNAs and licensed personnel, ensure adherence to policies, and maintain accurate records while coordinating with the healthcare team to uphold high-quality care.

Ideal candidates will have an active RN license and strong leadership, clinical skills, and a commitment to patient safety and staff development.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, active RN license in the state.
• Nurses in leadership must oversee STNAs and licensed staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day functions of STNAs or other nursing personnel.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Review and revise department policies as needed.
• Complete and file resident admission, transfer, and discharge records.
• Review medication cards for accuracy and proper transcription.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered; verify patient identity.
• Inform Nurse Supervisor of staffing needs when staff fail to report to work.
• Provide feedback for probationary and annual performance evaluations.
• Develop work assignments for nursing staff.
• Deliver direct nursing care and monitor residents' conditions.
• Report changes in residents' condition to physicians and team.
• Participate in in-service training and orientation for staff.
• Provide leadership and guidance to assigned personnel.
• Maintain patient safety and sanitation; participate in surveys.
