A healthcare provider in Silver Spring seeks an RN Unit Manager to oversee resident care and ensure high-quality healthcare. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in long-term care and will participate in quality assurance processes. Key responsibilities include managing resident care, making daily rounds, and developing policies. Qualifications

• Prior experience managing staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Quarterly Assurance process and meetings.
• Make daily rounds to ensure resident care and environmental standards.
• Develop and implement new policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Nursing leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident care to promote the highest level of physical, mental and psychosocial functioning possible on assigned unit.
• Actively participate in the Quarterly Assurance process, including attending the Quality Assurance meetings and submission of required reports.
• Make daily rounds on the assigned unit to ensure resident care needs and environmental standards are met.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures based on identified needs for assigned unit.
• Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Qualifications

• Computer knowledge.

License

• Must have an active RN Registered Nurse license for the state of Maryland.
