Job summary

Cadia Healthcare seeks an RN Unit Manager to supervise nursing staff and oversee daily operations in our facility. You will rely on your nursing and managerial experience to coordinate admissions, care planning, and communications with residents, families, and providers.

You will ensure accurate documentation, collaborate with pharmacy for medications, and participate in on-call coverage. A current RN license and CPR certification are required, with prior supervisory and long-term care

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in this state or a compact state.
• Must possess a current CPR certification.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Previous long-term care experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, and evaluations.
• Review documentation in electronic health records for accuracy and completeness.
• Inform unit staff of new admissions and room assignments; ensure rooms are ready.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and providers in planning care and rehabilitation.
• Notify provider and kin of changes in resident condition and coordinate with pharmacy for medications.

By relying on your nursing and managerial experience, you’ll supervise the day to day duties of the nursing staff. We’re excited for you to come and join our accomplished staff of medical professionals!Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting in electronic medical records, etc., as necessary.Review documentation in the electronic health record/POC for accuracy and completeness.Inform unit nursing staff of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc. and assure that rooms are ready for new admissions.Consult with the resident, his/her family, and the resident’s provider in planning the resident’s care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., as necessary.Assure that notification of the resident’s provider and next of kin have been notified when there is a change in the resident’s condition.Collaborate with the Pharmacy to order/reorder resident medications including narcotics.Review the Medication Administration Audit Report, Facility Dashboard and C.N.A. flow books for completeness of documentation and accuracy.Participate in an on-call schedule.Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state or compact state.Must possess a current CPR license.Previous supervisory experience is preferredPrevious long term care experience is desirable.
