HCA Healthcare in Richmond, VA seeks an experienced RN Coordinator to oversee patient transfers, admissions, and bed allocations while collaborating with physicians and hospitals. This part-time night shift role emphasizes patient-centered care and efficient transfer operations.

You will coordinate direct admissions and transfers between HCA Division hospitals, work in a call center setting, document clinical data, and support bed management.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required; multi-state license may be required if Transfer Center covers more than one state
• Minimum 3 years’ related clinical experience in an acute care setting (ED or Critical Care preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred, accredited nursing program graduate

Responsibilities

• Coordinate direct admissions and hospital transfers to appropriate HCA Division hospital
• Coordinate ambulance transfers from HCA Division hospitals to other facilities and post-acute care providers
• Operate in a customer-centric transfer and transport call center with electronic service profiles and approved clinical protocols
• Collaborate with facilities to manage internal and external patient movements and bed allocations
• Gather clinical data to ensure appropriate placement, transfer facilitation, communication, and documentation
• Communicate with physicians and outlying facilities to address placement challenges and determine best actions
• Assist in data collection, monitoring, evaluation, and analysis of transfer problems to improve protocols and procedures
• Exhibit excellent customer relationship skills with physicians, nurses, and vendors
