Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS, NIH certified preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency program.
• Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and Oncology experience preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willingness to obtain within three years of hire.
• Chemotherapy competency training within six months of hire.
• Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based care to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and the care team regarding patient status and treatment plans.
• Medication administration using barcode scanning and documentation technologies.
• Electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan of care, interventions and evaluation.
• Patient and family education aimed at optimizing health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
