Job summary

Job Description

The Ambulatory Nurse provides clinical support to physicians, ensuring a highly efficient, well-trained clinical team that supports optimal operations and patient satisfaction. The nurse is responsible for delegating, assessing, planning, and coordinating to provide a higher level of patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient calls and messages, managing both emergent and non-emergent situations.
• Provide clinical support during in-office procedures and complete clinical administrative tasks.
• Utilize critical thinking and assessment skills to interpret complex information.
• Guide patients and families in navigating multiple services and communication needs.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a cardiology department.
• Experience in ambulatory triage or medical office settings.
• Proficiency in utilizing the EPIC documentation system.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Nurse License in California - Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association - Required
• An Associate degree from an accredited school of nursing is required.
