Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse, Telemetry for a 13-week contract in San Jose, California. The Telemetry 80-bed unit (40 telemetry, 40 PCU) on the 3rd floor at Good Samaritan Hospital cares for rhythm-monitored and post‑operative patients in a fast‑paced environment.

This full‑time role runs 7:00 AM–7:00 PM with rotating weekends and no on‑call duties. ACLS, BLS and NIHSS certifications are required, with 1.5–2 years of telemetry nursing experience.

Full-time position with shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including rotating weekends and no on-call duties.

Job Description

The role involves providing care for telemetry patients in a fast-paced environment on the 3rd floor at Good Samaritan Hospital. The unit has a total of 80 beds, with 40 beds designated for telemetry and 40 for PCU patients. The staff consists of certified nursing assistants and nurses, with support staff including a CNC/charge nurse.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support telemetry patients, including rhythm interpretation and care for post-operative patients.


• Administer medications and manage treatments using various equipment like Alaris pumps and glucometers.


• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care, including documentation in Meditech.


• Assist with procedures such as chest tube maintenance, wound vac application, and dysphagia management.

Required Experience

• 1.5-2 years of telemetry nursing experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS and BLS certification required.


• NIHSS certification is also required.
