RN - Telemetry assignment with Cynet HealthStaff. Night shift, 12-hour blocks, 13 weeks. Requires Registered Nurse license, 2 years of RN experience, and ACLS/BCLS/NIHSS certifications.

Unit handles cardiac/telemetry with patient turnover; typical diagnoses include COPD, CHF, suspected MI, and sepsis. Cardiac/telemetry/stepdown experience preferred; weekend and holiday work required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fast-paced telemetry unit with high patient turnover.
• Manage 4-5 patients per nurse.
• No float, no on-call requirement.
• Daily census around 20 patients.
• Assist interdisciplinary team (PT, respiratory).
• Care for COPD, CHF, MI suspects, sepsis, chest pain R/O MI.

Description:Registered Nurse in the Telemetry specialty.This is a fast-paced unit with a high patient turnover.Patient diagnoses can include COPD, CHF, A fib with RVR, mild renal failure, sepsis, chronic vents, chest pain R/O MI, overdose/ETOH withdrawal, Covid, and pleural effusion.Ratio of patients to nurses is 4-5.First-timers are accepted.No floating is required.No on-call requirement.Daily census is around 20 patients.The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and respiratory services.Special procedures include chest tube insertion and maintenance, and cardioversion.Travelers must shave for mask fit testing.Experience with managing ports, administering blood products, and telemetry monitoring is required.Additional skills needed include non-invasive airway management and wound care.The unit is accredited for bariatric care.Travelers will be subject to OSHA Respirator Clearance requirements.
