Job summary

Springfield Hospital, Inc seeks a Registered Nurse to provide patient care aligned with nursing standards and within the Department of Nursing framework. You will use the Nursing Process to guide judgments and manage documentation, including delegation where appropriate.

The role requires active Vermont RN licensure or compact licensure, BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and healthcare IT is expected, with opportunities to contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Vermont RN license in good standing or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS.
• PALS (preferred).
• Basic Dysrhythmia.
• De-escalation Training (Required completion at first course offering after hire).
• Procedural Sedation skills (Required within three months of hire).
• Aseptic technique (Required within three months of hire).
• Six months of nursing experience desirable for specialty areas.
• Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan.
• Effective people skills and communication.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.
• Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery.

• Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the framework of the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and assumes responsibilities for nursing care and documentation to include delegation of work to other levels of employees.
• Ensure practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred)

Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $35.13 - $57.64 per hour. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education and experience of the successful candidate.
