Job summary

The Laurels of Chagrin Falls, under Ciena Healthcare, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts in alignment with applicable standards. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans, and supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other staff to ensure quality care and safety.

Minimum 1–2 years of long-term or sub-acute nursing experience is preferred; active RN license and CPR certification are required to practice in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
• 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
