Job summary

Ciena Healthcare in Michigan seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide, oversee, and coordinate resident care during assigned shifts in a long-term/sub-acute setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans while ensuring the highest quality of care and safety, supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other team members to maintain continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license to practice.
• CPR certification or within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
