Job summary

The Laurels of Mt Pleasant is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to oversee resident care on assigned shifts in a Michigan long-term care setting. You will supervise LPNs, CNAs, and staff, and ensure care plans meet regulatory standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Michigan.
• CPR certification or certification within 90 days of employment.
• 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, CNAs, and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work to meet resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments considering staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Conducts performance evaluations and contributes to hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and laws.
