Job summary

Regency at Canton, part of Ciena Healthcare, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care plans, and supports LPNs, CNAs, and other team members to sustain high quality and safety.

The role requires current RN license and CPR certification, with 1–2 years of long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• CPR certification (current or within 90 days)
• 1–2 years nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute care preferred
• Ability to supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
