Job summary

PACS seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise the nursing activities across shifts in a long-term care facility. The RN will ensure quality patient care, compliance with federal and state regulations, and alignment with the facility’s policies and procedures.

The role involves directing nursing staff, coordinating with other departments, and contributing to the facility’s QA program to maintain high standards of resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree and active license.
• Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• 2 years or more experience preferably in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during tour of duty.
• Direct the nursing service department in accordance with laws and facility policies.
• Develop, maintain and update policies and procedures for nursing services.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and compliant.
• Coordinate with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and facility surveys.
• Ensure adequate staffing and supervise RN/LPNs and CNAs.
• Oversee medication administration and patient safety.
• Prepare and review reports and charts for the Director of Nursing.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control and regulatory requirements.
