Job summary

PACS seeks an Registered Nurse (RN) General Purpose to supervise daily nursing activities across the facility during the assigned tour. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and coordinate with the DON/ADON as applicable to uphold the highest quality care.

Responsibilities include directing nursing functions, updating policies, participating in QA, and collaborating with committees to optimize resident care plans and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• 2 years or more experience preferably in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities during your tour of duty to ensure quality care.
• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing day-to-day nursing functions.
• Participate in developing and maintaining written policies and procedures for nursing.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents; complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Participate in the development, maintenance and implementation of the facility's quality assurance program.
• Attend various committee meetings and provide reports on nursing programs and activities.
• Ensure adequate staffing of RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; monitor absenteeism and shift staffing.
• Ensure compliance with policies; manage care plans, and coordinate with other departments.
