Job summary
Willow Creek Health Care Center in Willow Creek, Alaska, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the PM shift to supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities. The RN must ensure care aligns with federal, state, and local standards and report to the Director of Nursing and/or Assistant DON.
The role requires an active RN license (CA listed in posting), at least one year of nursing experience, CPR certification, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active RN license (CA listed in posting).
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; no new graduates at this time.
- Current CPR certification required; experience in long-term care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and ensure quality care during the PM shift.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor resident care and adherence to care plans and facility standards.
- Communicate with residents, families and the care team regarding status and needs.
- Assist in admissions, transfers, and discharges as required.
- Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed.
- Provide training and leadership to nursing assistants and LVNs.
- Maintain documentation and complete reports per policies and regulations.
