Job summary

Willow Creek Health Care Center in Willow Creek, Alaska, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the PM shift to supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities. The RN must ensure care aligns with federal, state, and local standards and report to the Director of Nursing and/or Assistant DON.

The role requires an active RN license (CA listed in posting), at least one year of nursing experience, CPR certification, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active RN license (CA listed in posting).
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; no new graduates at this time.
• Current CPR certification required; experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and ensure quality care during the PM shift.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor resident care and adherence to care plans and facility standards.
• Communicate with residents, families and the care team regarding status and needs.
• Assist in admissions, transfers, and discharges as required.
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed.
• Provide training and leadership to nursing assistants and LVNs.
• Maintain documentation and complete reports per policies and regulations.

Registered Nurse (RN) – NOC Shift
Willow Creek Health Care Center
Pay range $40.00-$45.00 Ask about our Sign-on Bonus
Schedule: Full-Time, PM Shift

General Purpose

The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise and coordinate the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during the PM shift. The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures that quality care is provided in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The RN will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to maintain the highest level of resident care and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of California.
• Must have at least one (1) year of nursing experience — no new graduates at this time.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate, quality care and lead by example.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and ensure quality care during the PM shift.

• Maintain documentation and complete reports as required by facility policies and regulatory agencies.

Work Environment

This position requires working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals in a skilled nursing environment. The role involves periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and maintain professionalism under pressure.
