Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC)/RN Supervisor ensures high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit during the shift. Collaborating with management, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care according to policies/procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s values to support excellent patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and quality care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care quality with management.
• Collaborate to foster teamwork supporting better outcomes and service.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
• Implement nursing strategies like employee rounding and hourly rounds to improve engagement.
• Provide input on interviewing, hiring, and training staff; handle performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assist with staff scheduling, managing labor costs according to patient needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.

Qualifications Needed

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current RN license in Texas or active compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• At least 1 year of recent acute care experience, preferably in a unit.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience is preferred.
