• Assess the health status and needs of patients and families through data interpretation and collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care using a systematic approach.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and formulate care plans based on diagnoses and problems.
• Implement nursing care within your scope, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
• Develop and execute patient education plans to promote health maintenance and restoration.
• Offer education, emotional support, and age-specific care to patients and families.
• Manage care for multiple patients through direct care or delegation to team members.
• Evaluate patient responses and outcomes to interventions.
• Use critical thinking and current literature for clinical decision-making.

Qualifications needed:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months.
• Minimum two years' recent critical care hospital experience.
• Ability to care for PCU, Tele, and Med Surg patients.
• Ability to assume Charge duties as needed.
• Experience in assigned departments.
• Current RN license in Texas or a valid compact license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
