The Alden Network is seeking an experienced nurse supervisor to provide direct care to residents and to oversee daily nursing activities. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies, maintaining the highest quality of care at all times.

The successful candidate will supervise nursing staff, participate in care planning, and uphold professional standards while delivering compassionate service in a senior care setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN or LPN in Illinois/Wisconsin.
• Must possess CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest/knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must display tact with customers, family, visitors, and staff.
• Must have leadership and supervisory ability and be personable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities by nursing assistants.
• Ensure care complies with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies.
• Plan and direct nursing procedures and staff instruction.
• Maintain care plans, charting, and documentation per policy.
• Attend care conferences and participate in ongoing education.
• Counsel and discipline nursing personnel as needed.
• Perform rounds to ensure duties are performed and policies followed.
