Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking an experienced nursing supervisor to provide direct patient care and oversee daily nursing activities. This role ensures high-quality care in accordance with applicable regulations and facility policies.

The incumbent will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses, participate in care planning, and promote a warm, professional environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in IL/WI.
• Must possess a CPR certificate or be certified within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledgeable of nursing/medical practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest/knowledge in elder care.
• Must read, write and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers, families, and staff.
• Must have leadership and supervisory ability and work well with others.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to customers as needed.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities by nursing assistants.
• Ensure care aligns with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies.
• Direct and guide nursing staff to maintain quality care.
• Develop and implement plans of care in coordination with the care team.
• Attend care plan conferences and participate in ongoing education.
