Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an RN for the Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down unit at Piedmont Eastside in Snellville, GA. This part-time night position involves 2×12 hour shifts weekly, with some weekend coverage. A sign-on bonus up to $5,000 is available.

The PCU/Stepdown unit bridges ICU and medical-surgical care with state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative team environment. The staff nurse provides comprehensive patient care from birth through the lifecycle, following nursing

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• New Graduates eligible.
• Current GA RN license and BLS certification.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments including data collection.
• Evaluate patient developmental age during care.
• Organize data into a care plan and set outcomes.
• Carry out care plans to meet outcomes.
• Provide setting-specific care aligned to patient needs.
• Oversee activities of ancillary staff and team members.
• Identify teaching opportunities for patients and families.
• Communicate issues to Charge Nurse or physician as appropriate.
• Document patient care and concerns in records.
