Job summary

Piedmont Eastside is seeking an RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down on a part-time night schedule (2 x 12-hour shifts weekly). The role is based in Snellville, GA with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

The PCU/Step Down unit supports 24 beds and a collaborative environment focused on safe, evidence-based nursing care. The RN provides comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle, leading care planning, collaboration with a skilled team, and timely documentation in patient records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program (RN).
• New graduates eligible for PRN positions.
• Current GA RN license required; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect health data to plan care.
• Evaluate developmental age for patient education.
• Organize data to form a care plan and outcomes.
• Implement and adjust the care plan to reach outcomes.
• Provide patient care appropriate to condition and needs.
• Oversee ancillary and support staff activities.
• Educate patients and families on care plans.
• Communicate issues to Charge Nurse or physician.
• Document care accurately in the patient record.
