Job summary

Ohio Living in Willoughby, OH seeks a Staff Educator - RN to plan, organize, develop and direct in-service educational programs ensuring high-quality resident care and compliance with standards.

The role leads training needs analysis, develops CEU programs, and coordinates staff education with the ERC and IT systems, while supervising and mentoring staff to maintain accountability and excellence.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered license for the state of Ohio to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• CPR Pro and First Aid Instructor certification preferred.
• Two years experience educating staff members required.
• Two years experience in a long-term care or health related field required.
• Two years experience in a supervisory role preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: assess training needs, plan and evaluate orientation and training programs.
• Develop community educational outreach and CEU programs for staff.
• Coordinate with staff and consultants to implement changes.
• Maintain ERC materials and NATCEP oversight.
• Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• People Management: supervise CNA Program Instructor and staff training delivery.
• Foster a positive environment and oversee performance and growth.
• Quality & Compliance: maintain records, support QA monitoring, protect resident confidentiality.
