Job summary

Journey is seeking an RN Training Coordinator to lead staff education across the facility in Chardon, Ohio. You will assess knowledge gaps, plan and implement training compliant with state and federal requirements, and oversee orientation and ongoing education for all personnel.

The role emphasizes developing schedules, tracking attendance, maintaining records, and ensuring content reflects current practice standards.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university or RN program completion.
• Two years of RN experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.
• Eligible to participate in federally funded health care programs.
• Must meet state licensure/certification requirements and have no disciplinary action against license.

Responsibilities

• Participates in facility assessment annually to determine required staff knowledge and skills.
• Identifies and prioritizes educational needs via needs assessment, based on facility assessment.
• Develops and implements training plans, calendars, and orientations for all personnel.
• Plans, schedules, conducts, and oversees orientation programs and refresher trainings; tracks attendance.
• Maintains training records and materials; ensures content reflects current standards and policies.
