Job summary

Elderwood is seeking an RN Educator to lead orientation, education, and ongoing competency development for our nursing and clinical teams—ensuring excellence, compliance, and confidence at every level of care. You will design, implement, and evaluate programs, mentor new nurses and preceptors, and coordinate onboarding and in-service education to stay current with clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse with a current NYS license.
• BSN degree preferred; strong background in in-service education.
• Experience designing and delivering orientation, education, and competency programs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate orientation and continuing education programs for staff.
• Serve as clinical mentor for new nurses, preceptors, and leadership teams.
• Lead onboarding and license/department-based orientation activities.
• Maintain current clinical standards and evidence-based practices across the facility.
• Act as EMR super user and coordinate LMS-based education reporting.
• Coordinate NATP/Nursing Assistant training and annual competency testing.
