Job summary

Complete Care - Connecticut is hiring an RN Staff Educator to lead orientation, education, and competency programs for nursing staff. This part-time role covers 20 hours per week with day shifts and offers advancement opportunities.

Pay is negotiable based on experience, with a focus on quality patient care and staff development across the facility. The position requires CT RN licensure, a background check, and demonstrated leadership in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Prior long-term care experience as Staff Development for 1yr.
• Licensed to work within the State of Connecticut as a RN Registered Nurse.
• Pass background check, drug screen, professional references check & physical evaluation.
• Leadership and clinical competency in long-term care.
• Coordinate orientation and continuing education for staff.

Responsibilities

• Orientation: Coordinate and conduct orientation programs for newly hired staff.
• Skills Validation: Perform and document competency assessments and skills validation.
• Skills Education: Educate staff on clinical skills and protocols.
• In Servicing: Plan, schedule, and execute mandatory continuing education and in-service training.
• Policy Education: Train staff on updates to facility policies and new equipment.
• Documentation: Maintain records of education and training hours.
• Identify Gaps: Identify educational needs from reviews and audits.
• Survey Readiness: Assist in preparing for health department or CMS surveys.
