Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator (RN) for Highland House in North Carolina. The role focuses on coordinating the facility's staff development program and serving as the health nurse, while leading orientation, ongoing training, and in-service sessions for all staff.

The RN license must be current with the NC Board of Nursing. The candidate will also conduct specialized trainings, supervise nursing staff, and participate in patient care

Qualifications

• RN license currently active with NC Board of Nursing.
• Five years of nursing experience in long-term care and/or nursing education.
• Ability to supervise staff, instruct orientation and continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the staff development program for the facility.
• Act as personnel health nurse for the facility.
• Provide orientation for all employees per policy.
• Conduct blood-borne pathogen training for new staff and update existing staff.
• Conduct hazard communication training for staff at least yearly.
• Instruct Nurse Aide Training Program as approved by DFS.
• Post and coordinate in-house workshops and continuing education classes.
• Direct in-house in-service for all staff and schedule sessions.
• Assist Nursing Management in reviewing incident reports.
• Serve as charge nurse or supervisor during nursing emergencies.
