Job summary

PACS is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee staff development, education programs, infection control, and regulatory compliance within a long-term care setting. The role includes coordinating recruitment, payroll-related tasks, and ensuring resident care standards.

Strong leadership and licensed nursing credentials are required. The position emphasizes bedside care, staff supervision, and ongoing education, with a focus on maintaining quality resident outcomes and adherence to licensing

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing and possession of a valid license to practice nursing as an RN/LVN/LPN.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of direct patient care in long-term care plus 1 year of experience planning, implementing and evaluating education programs in nursing.
• 2 years or more experience preferred in a long-term care facility.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
• Maintains continuing education/licensing and stays in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the recruitment and hiring of staff and processing related documentation.
• Coordinate payroll and employee benefit programs.
• Relate positively with residents and families to work cooperatively with staff.
• Plan, conduct and document in-service and education programs; schedule and maintain records.
• Supervise staff and implement appropriate disciplinary actions when needed.
• Coordinate infection control surveillance and related programs.
• Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies.
• Provide direct resident/patient care while maintaining confidentiality.
