Job summary

PACS is seeking a Director of Staff Development to plan and implement facility orientation, nursing in-service education, and a Certification Training Program as required by regulations. The DSD will work with the DON and Administrator to ensure high-quality care and will provide direct resident care as needed.

Qualifications include an RN or LVN/LPN license with BSN preferred, plus 1 year of direct patient care in long-term care and 1 year of education program planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and delivering nursing staff education in a long-term care setting.
• Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate education programs for nursing personnel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement orientation and in-service training for staff.
• Coordinate hiring-related documentation and payroll/benefit processes.
• Supervise staff and address disciplinary actions per policy.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Prepare annual in-service schedules and monthly calendars.
• Coordinate infection control surveillance and compliance with regulations.
• Provide direct resident care as required and observe quality of care.
